Hi, I’m Emily

I started Avocado Analytics because I believe data is everywhere, even for small businesses. Unlocking the story within the data is fundamental to developing as a business, and I have the skills to make that happen.

Here’s the rest of my story. I worked in a corporate setting supporting businesses from 5 to 10,000 employees. Over time I began to burn out and decided to take some time to refocus my life.

While I spent time with my family and rebalanced, I also continued learning. I rediscovered my enjoyment in working with numbers in a meaningful way, even for things like making graphs and charts to convince my partner to buy an e-bike.

I joined a group of local business owners and realized how much the right use of data could benefit any business at any level. Recognizing that not everyone loves numbers the way that I do, I began to work with small businesses on their data and spreadsheets. My expertise includes Excel, the Google Suite including Google Sheets, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and Tableau, and I am continuing to grow.

I love working with the numbers, but my favorite part is being close enough to see the impact of a just right solution for a business - whether it be the time saved by a streamlined data entry process or the relief and action made possible by transforming intimidating data into a straightforward dashboard.

When I’m not geeking out over charts and numbers, I’m probably chasing my toddlers around, getting outside, or staying in with a good book. Feel free to share any recommendations of good reads when we talk!
